Loyal supporters of the pop star are demanding that a person who breached a barrier and grabbed the celebrity during yesterday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or deported from Singapore.

A circulating footage reveals the individual from Australia bypassing photographers and charging at Grande while the cast walked down a event pathway accompanied by onlookers.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo promptly wrested the stunned actress away from Mr Wen, who was observed being escorted out of the event by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "free after being taken in", though court documents indicated that he was due to be present on the following morning. It is not clear if he was charged.

History of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram profile contains videos of him disturbing other high-profile occasions, including breaching the performance area at the pop singer's Sydney concert in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers event in the same location last year.

"Measures must be taken taken against him as this is evidently a punishable act," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Well-being

Several fans accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 show in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" wrote another message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised guards at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's videos.

Response and Event Details

In footage circulating online, Grande looked surprised when she was approached by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by security.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the premiere activities carried on uninterrupted.

Many of Singapore fans had lined up to greet the cast of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had assembled in a crowd of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific launch in a Singapore mall, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it began.

The movie, to be launched on 21 November, is the second of a two-film adaptation of the well-known stage production Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely friendship between two distinct characters.

The production itself is a derivative of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the character Glinda Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the Elphaba, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were accompanied by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful movie of the previous year in the UK, and scored a dozen Oscar nominations, earning two for best costume and artistic direction.
