Individual Who Reached For Ariana Grande during Movie Premiere Prohibited from Singapore

An Australian man that leaped over a barricade and reached for Hollywood star Ariana Grande has been expelled and prohibited from Singapore.

Johnson Wen, twenty-six, was handed a penalty to over a week in detention for causing a public disturbance and has now been "prohibited from returning to Singapore," Singaporean immigration authorities stated to Singaporean press.

He forced his way past photographers and approached aggressively the celebrity, who was attending the regional launch for the film on 13 November. Co-star Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.

Wen has a history of interrupting performances and celebrity events, including leaping onto the platform at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in June this year.

The event caused anger in Singapore, with several individuals saying he of causing further distress to the star.

The co-star spoke about the incident to a media outlet, saying that she "only aimed to make sure my colleague was secure."

"I believe he had no intention to us danger, but you cannot be certain with those things, and I aimed to confirm that she was OK. That was my first instinct," she said.
