Nigel Farage Claims Teachers of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that educators would initiate walkouts shortly after a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “poisoning our kids” by instructing children that African-Caribbean youth are oppressed and white children oppressors.

During an event for a private US Christian college, Farage outlined his perspective on British schools, stating that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I expect a teachers’ strike soon after winning the next general election,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are poisoning our kids. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is oppressed and little Oliver, who is white, who is eight that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They are feeding this negative culture.”

Reacting to these assertions, the head of a major education union rejected the notion that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. Kebede noted that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these right after taking office.

“The politician has crafted his public life on coded rhetoric and currently, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their unions for a conflict,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – push critical race theory as he’s suggesting … If he were to lead the government he would sell out our public services, particularly schooling … and the outcome would be catastrophic for students and learning.”

The party, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has not set out much detail on a proposed education policy and does not appear to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, his comments suggested the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We have got a massive job with schooling – absolutely herculean. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it will take us years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to critical thinking, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, he commented: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that there are two points of view and they should decide for themselves rather than current practices where views are labeled good or bad. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after Kebede called the party “far right and racist” and described the leader as “a cheap imitation”.

Farage has accused the union head with being “an avowed radical” … an individual intent that young minds be corrupted through education, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people work in schools in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The major education union has hundreds of thousands of members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in recent years caused widespread disruption in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for children.

At the US event, the Reform leader also pledged to help spread the digital courses of the Christian college in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, noting: “I am serious. I will help attract vast numbers of youth to your online courses. I make that commitment tonight and I will follow through.”

The institution, a religious educational establishment, provides complimentary classes. Its website states: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is vital for well-being and to maintain the benefits of freedom. It offers these excellent programs for no charge to every interested learner.”
