Former President Trump revealed on the weekend that he has asked the family of a Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the presidential home.
He mentioned that he spoke to her family and they were “devastated”.
US army specialist Beckstrom, 20, was lost her life in a violent incident on last Wednesday in the nation's capital.
Her colleague, Staff Sgt Andrew Wolfe, 24, remains hospitalized in serious condition.
Vigils across West Virginia have occurred in their honor.
The president stated he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the parents of both individuals of the West Virginia National Guard.
“I said: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a tough thing, visit the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” Trump informed the press. “And similarly with Andrew, recover or not.”
Community members assembled over the past few days at the high school in the state to honor Sarah.
Both she and Wolfe had been working with the state guard as part of the president’s national effort to assist policing efforts in the capital.
“She was the type of pupil that instructors wished for. She behaved with calm resilience, a contagious smile and a positive energy that encouraged people around her,” Hankins, the head of her previous school, stated to the Associated Press. “She was sweet, caring and always ready to assist people.”
Funeral plans for Sarah are yet to be finalized.
Law enforcement have indicted a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of first-degree murder and charges of assault with intent to kill while armed.

“She had a lot of compassion and she absolutely had bravery,” he informed the gathering at the memorial. “Though her life was cut short, she has made an impact that’s going to be remembered always.”
