A budget proposal that would terminate the longest federal closure in US history is advancing toward the House of Representatives for a crucial vote on the coming day.

On day 43 of the budget deadlock, lawmakers are returning to Washington to decide whether to pass a legislative agreement that would fund federal agencies for two months.
