Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has tragically died in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the video game company he co-founded.

The celebrated video game developer lost his life when his automobile collided and caught fire on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to.

"This represents a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his work," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
